We came across a fabulous and rare find this weekend in Boudevilliers. This is a circa 1910 Krups Ideal kitchen scale. The company began making precision scales and and industrial balances in the German village of Wald (Nord Rhine Westphalia) in 1846.
The D.R. G. M. Fabrik-Marke indicates that it was produced between 1901 and 1918.
The porcelaine base with a flow blue geometric design is beautifully crackled and measures 7.5" by 5". It is in good vintage condition, and has not been restored.
You can weigh your produce up to 10 kilograms
The blue ceramic bowl is in near perfect condition.
The metal around the base shows lovely patina.
