Every autumn this small village and the neighboring ones awaken for the hustle and bustle of the grape harvest. There are so many gorgeous sights to be seen from age old wooden barrels overflowing with fruit of the vine (I'll get pictures tomorrow) to children running up the streets after school to get their first taste of moût (fresh grape juice, of course, unfermented.) There's nothing like it and my kids can't get enough. Lucky for them we live above a winery and the vintner leaves a barrel outside the front door, much to the neighborhood's delight. xx, jess
