Vikki and I have been hard at work in the Atelier all week experimenting with our new favorite paints & Waxes by Annie Sloan. The colors are just fabulous and perfect for recreating the very chic & oh so sought after Gustavian look. This table was hiding in the back of a brocante in la Chaux de Fonds just waiting and calling out my name! It was really pathetic looking with a shabby (but not chic!) inlay on the top and worn finish. It got a new lease on life with a combination of Old White, Paris Grey & Louis Blue and a high shine after a few coats of clear & rustic wax! Im thinking of bringing it to Carte Poire's Chat, Glog, Gossip & Spend tonight but am not sure if I can part with it. ![]() Paris Gray, Louis Blue & Old White Annie Sloan Chalk Paint & Rustic wax The old wax really brings out the brushstrokes & wood's contours. Vikki will be showcasing some lovely Gustavian style chairs, tables, candelabras & frames... .....and offering some delicious chutneys from her garden's bounty! ![]() And Abbie of Celebrations will be sharing her amazing cake & cupcake creations! xx, jess
