The exquisite gerles of la Maison Carrée in Auvernier. Few wineries still use them as they are fragile, difficult to maintain, must be kept constantly wet & not left in the hot sun. Children line up downstairs for a quick taste of moût frais, the viticultural equivalent of extra virgin olive oil, before heading home during their afternoon break.
